Most Gulf Shores rentals are a unit in a building on a busy road. This is different, and the difference is the gate. Everything your week needs — the pools, the beach service, the spa, the tennis courts, the restaurants, the ice cream at 9pm — is already inside it.
You are 40 minutes west of the Highway 59 traffic and the go‑kart tracks. What you get instead is a wide, uncrowded stretch of sand, a wildlife‑sanctuary property, and the only full‑service resort on this coast. It is the difference between a place you stay and a place you come back to.
Coffee at 7:30am, lunch at the Gulfside grill, dinner at Coast, ice cream at The Creamery, food trucks on the Village Lawn at dusk. Five places to eat, all inside the gate. A tram runs the property in the evenings.
Six pools. Eight tennis courts and two pickleball courts with free racket rentals. Sand Island with volleyball and life‑sized games. An arcade, a game room, walking trails, bikes, seasonal beach campfires.

Inside the gate
This is Gulf Shores' only full‑service resort, and it is the entire reason the week works. Pick a category and see what's actually there.
Four tower pools sit just south of each building, so you're never more than a two‑minute walk from water. The Club outdoor pool sits at beach level. And the indoor pool at the Clubhouse opens at 7am — which is the single most useful amenity here on the one rainy afternoon of your week.
Coast is the proper dinner — Tuesday through Saturday, 5 to 9. Everything else is walk‑up. The Hideaway opens at 7:30am for coffee, the Gulfside Bar & Grill handles lunch in wet swimsuits, and The Creamery is open until 10 for the negotiation you're going to have at bedtime.
Avada Spa & Salon runs a full treatment menu — massage, facials, nails, hair. Book the 90‑minute massage for the day after you arrive, not the day before you leave. The fitness center, sauna and steam rooms are included with your stay.
There's a pro shop, and racket rentals are free with your resort wristband — tennis and pickleball both. Bikes are available at a guest discount, which is the right way to see the peninsula in the two cool hours after sunrise.
Sand Island is the recreation area with volleyball and oversized lawn games. The arcade runs 8am to 10pm and the game room is open all day. There's a playground. And the evening tram is, reliably, the highlight of the week for anyone under nine.
Amenity hours are set by the resort and vary seasonally — we send a current schedule with your arrival packet. A handful of venues have their own pricing; resort access itself is included with every stay.

The Hideaway opens at 7:30, but you're up before it. The sand at this end of Gulf Shores is genuinely empty at sunrise. Somebody will find a sand dollar.
Beach chairs are set by the time you get there. Lunch is a walk‑up window at the Gulfside grill and nobody has to change out of a swimsuit.
Grandparents take the pool shift. You take the spa. This is the hour people mention when they talk about why they came back.
The Village Lawn fills up around six. The Creamery is open until ten. The tram takes everybody home and no one gets in a car all day.

Keyless entry codes go out the morning of arrival. No front‑desk line after an eight‑hour drive, no lockbox scavenger hunt with a sleeping toddler in the car.
If a named storm forces a mandatory evacuation of Baldwin County during your stay, you get a full refund for the unused nights. In writing, in the agreement, before you pay.
Our office is on the Alabama coast. During your stay you get a direct number to the manager responsible for your residence. Most issues are solved the same day, in person.

Three generations, nine people, one condo and one cottage. I was braced for the logistics and there weren't any. The kids were at the pool by 10 every morning, my mother took the tram to dinner, and I got a massage on Tuesday. We've already asked about next June.

We've done the Highway 59 condos twice and it's fine, but it's a parking lot. Out here you're past all of it. Wide beach, hardly anybody on it, and the property is genuinely beautiful — there are herons on the lake behind the cottages. Different category of trip.

Ice maker quit on day two. I texted the number they gave us at check‑in and someone was there inside an hour with a replacement. That is not what happens when you book on an app and the owner lives in another state.

Same unit was on Vrbo for our week. Called instead, got the same rate without the service fee, and the woman on the phone actually knew which balcony gets the sunset. Worth the phone call.

When to come
We'd rather you come at the right time and love it than come in the wrong week and blame the beach. Here's how the year actually runs.
Water is warming, crowds haven't arrived, and the gulf is at its clearest. Our own favorite window. Book 4–6 months out.
Peak family season. Prime weeks are typically gone 9–12 months ahead, and the 3‑5 bedroom gulf‑front units go first.
Warmest water of the year, empty sand, and the National Shrimp Festival in October. The best adults‑only week on this coast.
Monthly rates, indoor pool, full fitness center, and a resident community that's been coming back for years. Book by August.
Rates are starting points and vary by residence, view and date. Holiday weeks carry minimum stays. The bar shows relative demand across our portfolio.
