The Fort Morgan Peninsula
Sunrise, mid‑May — the quiet end of Gulf Shores
Why book here
Anyone can rent you a condo. We hand you the whole resort.
Most Gulf Shores rentals are a unit in a building on a busy road. This is different, and the
difference is the gate. Everything your week needs — the pools, the beach service, the spa,
the tennis courts, the restaurants, the ice cream at 9pm — is already inside it.
You are 40 minutes west of the Highway 59 traffic and the go‑kart tracks. What you get instead is
a wide, uncrowded stretch of sand, a wildlife‑sanctuary property, and the only full‑service
resort on this coast. It is the difference between a place you stay and a place you come back to.
Coffee at 7:30am, lunch at the Gulfside grill, dinner at Coast, ice cream at The Creamery, food trucks on the
Village Lawn at dusk. Five places to eat, all inside the gate. A tram runs the property in the evenings.
02
Enough to do that nobody gets bored.
Six pools. Eight tennis courts and two pickleball courts with free racket rentals. Sand Island with
volleyball and life‑sized games. An arcade, a game room, walking trails, bikes, seasonal beach campfires.
03
And a spa for the grown‑ups.
Avada Spa & Salon for massages and facials, a fitness center, sauna and steam rooms. Book the
kids into the pool and take the afternoon back for yourself. That's the part people don't expect.
Twelve residences. Every one of them inside the gate.
Gulf‑front in the towers, or a cottage on the lake with your own pool. Filter by what actually
matters to your trip — how many beds, which view, whether you need a private pool for the little ones.
Rates shown are the lowest nightly rate across the year. Live pricing appears when you pick dates.
Full resort access for every guest on the reservation
All six pools, tennis, pickleball & racket rentals
Fitness center, sauna & steam rooms
Gated entry with 24/7 on‑property staff
Departure clean & fresh‑laundered linens
Direct line to a local manager, not a call center
Booked direct, so the price is the price. No 14–16% platform service fee,
no surprise line item at checkout. If you find this exact residence cheaper on Airbnb or Vrbo for the same
dates, we'll beat it by 5%.
This is Gulf Shores' only full‑service resort, and it is the entire reason the week works.
Pick a category and see what's actually there.
Six pools, and one of them is indoors.
Four tower pools sit just south of each building, so you're never more than a two‑minute walk
from water. The Club outdoor pool sits at beach level. And the indoor pool at the Clubhouse opens at
7am — which is the single most useful amenity here on the one rainy afternoon of your week.
Four tower pools — 8am to 10pm daily
Club outdoor pool at beach level — 9am to 8pm
Indoor pool at the Clubhouse — 7am to 8pm
Private beach access with seasonal chair service
Seasonal watersports rentals & beach campfires
Five ways to eat without a reservation battle.
Coast is the proper dinner — Tuesday through Saturday, 5 to 9. Everything else is
walk‑up. The Hideaway opens at 7:30am for coffee, the Gulfside Bar & Grill handles lunch in
wet swimsuits, and The Creamery is open until 10 for the negotiation you're going to have at bedtime.
Coast Restaurant — dinner, Tue–Sat, 5–9pm
The Hideaway — coffee & all‑day dining from 7:30am
Gulfside Bar & Grill — poolside lunch, bar until 6pm
The Creamery — ice cream until 10pm
Village Lawn food trucks — nightly, 6–10pm
The Mercantile — groceries, wine & sundries on property
The part of the trip that's actually for you.
Avada Spa & Salon runs a full treatment menu — massage, facials, nails, hair. Book the
90‑minute massage for the day after you arrive, not the day before you leave. The fitness
center, sauna and steam rooms are included with your stay.
Avada Spa & Salon — massage, facials, salon services
Fitness center with sauna & steam rooms
Walking trails and the QR fitness trail
Clean Bed Guarantee — freshly laundered coverlets, every stay
Eight tennis courts. Free rackets. No excuses.
There's a pro shop, and racket rentals are free with your resort wristband — tennis and
pickleball both. Bikes are available at a guest discount, which is the right way to see the
peninsula in the two cool hours after sunrise.
Eight tennis courts with on‑site pro shop
Two pickleball courts — free racket rentals
Activities courts & beach volleyball on Sand Island
Bike rentals at a guest rate
Walking trails through a designated wildlife sanctuary
Sand Island, an arcade, and life‑sized Jenga.
Sand Island is the recreation area with volleyball and oversized lawn games. The arcade runs
8am to 10pm and the game room is open all day. There's a playground. And the evening tram is,
reliably, the highlight of the week for anyone under nine.

The Arcade — 8am to 10pm

Seasonal beach campfires
Amenity hours are set by the resort and vary seasonally — we send a current schedule with your
arrival packet. A handful of venues have their own pricing; resort access itself is included with every stay.
Not an itinerary. Just what a normal midweek day looks like when everything is
within a five‑minute walk of your front door.
7:15 AM
Coffee, then an empty beach.
The Hideaway opens at 7:30, but you're up before it. The sand at this end of Gulf Shores is
genuinely empty at sunrise. Somebody will find a sand dollar.
11:00 AM
Chairs down, kids in the pool.
Beach chairs are set by the time you get there. Lunch is a walk‑up window at the Gulfside grill
and nobody has to change out of a swimsuit.
2:30 PM
Ninety minutes that are yours.
Grandparents take the pool shift. You take the spa. This is the hour people mention when they
talk about why they came back.
7:45 PM
Food trucks, then ice cream.
The Village Lawn fills up around six. The Creamery is open until ten. The tram takes everybody
home and no one gets in a car all day.
Book direct
The same residence. Without the middleman's cut.
Airbnb and Vrbo add a guest service fee to every booking — typically 12–16% of your total,
charged to you, on top of what the owner already pays. Book with us and that line item simply doesn't exist.
You also get the things a platform can't give you: a manager on property who answers the phone,
the ability to hold a date while you talk to your family, and a human who will move you to a
bigger unit when your brother‑in‑law decides to come after all.
Illustrative. Platform guest service fees vary by booking and are typically 12–16% of the
subtotal. Taxes and the cleaning fee apply either way — ours are disclosed before you enter a card.
Best‑rate guarantee
Find this exact residence listed cheaper for your dates on any platform and we'll beat that
total by 5%. Send us the link before you book — it takes us about ten minutes to confirm.
Cancel free to 60 days
Full refund on any cancellation 60 days or more before arrival. Inside 60 days, we'll work with
you to move the dates before we talk about money. Optional travel insurance is offered at checkout.
The unit you booked
You are reserving a specific residence with a specific number, not a "category." If something
happens to it, you get an equal or better unit on property — and we tell you before you arrive, not at check‑in.
Arrive and walk in
Keyless entry codes go out the morning of arrival. No front‑desk line after an eight‑hour
drive, no lockbox scavenger hunt with a sleeping toddler in the car.
Named‑storm protection
If a named storm forces a mandatory evacuation of Baldwin County during your stay, you get a full
refund for the unused nights. In writing, in the agreement, before you pay.
A local, not a queue
Our office is on the Alabama coast. During your stay you get a direct number to the manager
responsible for your residence. Most issues are solved the same day, in person.
Three generations, nine people, one condo and one cottage. I was braced for the logistics
and there weren't any. The kids were at the pool by 10 every morning, my mother took the tram to dinner,
and I got a massage on Tuesday. We've already asked about next June.

"The gate is the whole point."
We've done the Highway 59 condos twice and it's fine, but it's a parking lot. Out here you're
past all of it. Wide beach, hardly anybody on it, and the property is genuinely beautiful — there are
herons on the lake behind the cottages. Different category of trip.

"They fixed it before I finished the sentence."
Ice maker quit on day two. I texted the number they gave us at check‑in and someone was
there inside an hour with a replacement. That is not what happens when you book on an app and the owner
lives in another state.

"Booked direct. Saved about six hundred dollars."
Same unit was on Vrbo for our week. Called instead, got the same rate without the service fee,
and the woman on the phone actually knew which balcony gets the sunset. Worth the phone call.
TWTom W.Louisville, KY · 7 nights in August Verified
"Six weeks in the cottage and we never got restless."
We come down from Michigan every January and this is year four. The indoor pool and the
fitness center are what make the long stay work. By February you know half the property by name.

When to come
Honest advice about which week to book.
We'd rather you come at the right time and love it than come in the wrong week and blame the beach.
Here's how the year actually runs.
Best value
Late Spring
April – Mid May
from $239
per night
Water is warming, crowds haven't arrived, and the gulf is at its clearest. Our own favorite window.
Book 4–6 months out.

High Summer

Peak family season. Prime weeks are typically gone 9–12 months ahead, and the 3‑5 bedroom
gulf‑front units go first.

Golden Fall

Warmest water of the year, empty sand, and the National Shrimp Festival in October. The best
adults‑only week on this coast.

Before you book
The questions people actually ask.
Included. Every guest on your reservation gets a wristband that covers all six pools,
the beach, the fitness center, sauna and steam rooms, tennis and pickleball with free racket rentals, the
arcade, the game room and the trails. Spa treatments, restaurant meals, bike rentals and seasonal watersports
are paid separately — those are the only things that aren't in the wristband.
About 20–30 minutes west along Fort Morgan Road, and that distance is the
product. You're past the Highway 59 congestion, the outlet mall and the go‑kart tracks. The Wharf,
Gulf State Park and downtown Gulf Shores are all an easy drive when you want them; the Fort Morgan
historic site and the Mobile Bay ferry are about 15 minutes west. Most guests make that drive twice
in a week, if at all.
Pensacola (PNS) is usually the easiest at roughly 1 hour 15 minutes. Mobile (MOB)
is about 1 hour 30. Gulf Shores has its own regional field (GUF) with limited seasonal service. New Orleans
(MSY) is around 3 hours 15 and is often the cheapest fare if you're already renting a car. You will want a
car for the drive in — but not once you're here.
Nightly rate × nights, plus a one‑time departure cleaning fee that
scales with unit size, plus Alabama and Baldwin County lodging tax. That's the whole list. There is no
booking fee, no service fee, no resort fee and no per‑person charge. Your quote shows every line
before you enter a card, and the number on the quote is the number you pay.
In select residences, yes — filter for "Pets ok" in the collection above.
Those units allow up to two dogs under 50 lbs with a pet fee, and we'll tell you which door is closest
to the walking trails. Pets aren't permitted on the beach or in resort amenity areas, which is a resort
rule rather than ours.
For June and July with four or more bedrooms gulf‑front: nine to twelve months.
For late spring and fall: three to five months is comfortable. Snowbird months should be locked in by
August. If your dates are inside 30 days, call — late inventory moves fast and isn't always posted
online.
If a named storm triggers a mandatory evacuation order for Baldwin County that
overlaps your stay, you receive a full refund of the unused nights. That's written into your rental
agreement, not a case‑by‑case favor. Outside a mandatory order, we'll help you move dates, and
we offer optional travel insurance at checkout for everything else.
We manage a portfolio of privately owned residences on this property and we live
on the Alabama coast. That matters in two directions: you're dealing with people who have keys and a truck,
and the owners we represent have chosen a standard of furnishing and upkeep we're willing to put our name on.
We turn down units that don't meet it.
Yes. We'll hold a specific residence for 48 hours at no charge and no card, which
is something no platform will do for you. Call or send the form below and tell us who you're waiting on.
Talk to a person
Tell us the week. We'll send three options.
Not a lead form that disappears into a CRM. A real reply from someone on the Alabama coast,
